Man shot in Chicago Lawn

A man was shot Sunday morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened in the 6100 block of South Rockwell at 11:20 a.m., police said.

The 24-year-old man was shot in the back and suffered a graze wound to his face and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

He is not cooperating with investigators, but a witness told police a silver car pulled up, a male got out of the backseat and shot several times before driving away.
