Man dies of injuries sustained in June crash in Avondale

A man involved in a crash three months ago in the Avondale neighborhood died of his injuries Wednesday.

Alexis Toledo-DeJesus, 22, was involved in a crash on June 10 in the 2700 block of West Belmont, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Toledo-DeJesus, of the 2400 block of West Touhy, was pronounced dead in hospice care Wednesday evening. An autopsy found he died of complications of a traumatic brain injury he sustained in the crash.
