A woman was killed and a man was injured in a shooting Sunday morning in Englewood on the South Side, police said.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 7200 block of South Green at 7:45 a.m. and found two people shot, police said.

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
