Police: Landscapers being robbed at gunpoint in South Chicago

Lawn care professionals working in the South Chicago neighborhood are being robbed at gunpoint, police warned Tuesday afternoon.

Two armed robberies were reported by lawn care professionals in the 8000 block of South Coles, one at about 9:45 a.m. July 16; and the other about 9:45 a.m. Sept. 1, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The robbers are described as one or two black men 19- 25, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-11, and 100-110 pounds, with light and medium complexions, police said.
