A man was wounded in a shooting early Thursday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 31-year-old man was outside in the 4800 block of South Laflin at 12:55 a.m. when an SUV pulled up and someone inside fired at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the groin and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
