For the second consecutive year, Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic has been chosen to play for the World Team in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge as part of the NBA’s All-Star festivities.

Last year, Mirotic scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds as the World Team defeated the U.S. Team 121-112.

The Rising Stars game features first- and second-year players as voted by NBA assistant coaches.

Mirotic is averaging 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Bulls this season. Teammated Bobby Portis and Doug McDermott were both eligible but not selected.

Chicago’s Jabari Parker (Bucks) and Jahlil Okafor (76ers) will play for the U.S. Team.
