The Foster Avenue bridge over the north branch of the Chicago River reopened Wednesday after more than a month of construction.

The bridge was fully closed Sept. 7 to traffic, pedestrians and bicyclists, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The rehabilitation project included partial removal and replacement of the bridge deck, according to IDOT.
