Bank robbed in Glencoe

A man armed with a knife robbed a bank Saturday afternoon in north suburban Glencoe.

The takeover bank robbery happened at 1:52 p.m. at the Chase Bank branch at 45 Green Bay Road in Glencoe, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

The robber was described as between 20 and 25 years old, black, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and of medium build, the FBI said. He was wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans and carried a white and blue backpack.
