A man was shot Monday afternoon in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

About 2:47 p.m., the 22-year-old was shot in the ankle in the 7900 block of South Cottage Grove, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Trinity Hospital in good condition, police said.
