Authorities announced Saturday that two fugitives, both wanted for aggravated battery, were apprehended in Lake County.

Brandon Campbell, 36, of unincorporated Mundelein, was wanted on a “no bond” arrest warrant for aggravated battery from Douglas County, Nebraska, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities learned that Campbell would be at the Mundelein Train Station on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and apprehended him as he exited the train, the sheriff’s office said.

Luis Sosa, 28, a registered gang member of Kenosha, Wisconsin, was wanted on a $250,000 arrest warrant for aggravated battery from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

While searching for Sosa, authorities learned he was staying near North Delany Road and West Adams Road in Unincorporated Wadsworth, according to the sheriff’s office. Officers stopped a vehicle in which Sosa was a passenger on Thursday near Route 43 and Route 137. He was arrested without incident.

Both suspects were taken to the Lake County Jail, where they will stay pending an extradition hearing, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Lake County sheriff’s office worked with the Mundelein police and the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task force.
