Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a restaurant last month in Gary, Indiana.

The male entered Philly Steak and Lemonade in the 5400 block of West 25th Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 19, then a short time later left the restaurant and got into a black vehicle parked outside, according to Gary police.

Moments later, two males got out the vehicle and walked into the restaurant with guns drawn, police said. They then stole the entire cash register and a tip jar, before running out of the building and jumping back into the black vehicle, which was being driven by a third party.

The vehicle, which is believed to be a 2011 to 2014 black Hyundai Elantra, was last seen speeding away southbound on Burr Street, police said.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Gary Police Detective Sgt. Gregory Wolf at (219) 881-1210 or the Crime Tip Line at 866-CRIME-GP.
