The Lake County sheriff’s office is warning businesses of a recent increase in burglaries.

Lake County and neighboring counties have seen an increase in business burglaries – especially to salons – over the last few weeks, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. The robberies have happened in the evening or overnight.

The unknown number of suspects have usually broken into the salons and businesses by breaking windows or forcing doors open, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit at (847) 377-4250 or the Lake County Crime Stoppers at (847) 662-2222.
