Two men were shot Wednesday evening in north suburban Beach Park.

The two were in a vehicle about 6:52 p.m. near the intersection of Yorkhouse and Sheridan roads, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff’s office.

The two drove to a nearby McDonald’s where they asked employees to call police, authorities said.

The men — whose ages were not disclosed — were taken to area hospitals, police said. They are expected to survive.

Investigators were speaking with witnesses and seeking possible video surveillance as of Wednesday night, police said.
