Man shot in Austin

A 25-year-old man was shot Thursday evening in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was shot in the hip at 7:46 p.m. in the 900 block of North Lamon Avenue, police said.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
