Man shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot early Tuesday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was sitting in the back seat of a vehicle traveling in the 4500 block of South Wolcott at 1:03 a.m. when shots rang out and he was struck in the right shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
