A woman was thrown from a vehicle in a crash on Lake Shore Drive on the South Side late Thursday.

The 50-year-old was driving a Jeep north on Lake Shore near Pershing about 11:40 p.m. when the vehicle jumped a curb and flipped onto its roof, police said.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.
