A man was wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 25-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of South California Avenue about 2:55 a.m. when someone in a tow truck shot him in the abdomen, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
