Baez extended his hitting streak to nine games with a home run off Fresno pitcher Dan Straily in the fourth inning.

The Cubs infield prospect has a total of 20 hits and has increased his batting average from .289 to .315 during the nine-game hitting streak.

There’s no indication if Baez will receive a September callup, but he’s making a case for himself.
