Even though Brad Richards signed with the Detroit Red Wings during the offseason, the former Blackhawks center was able to spend time with the Stanley Cup in his hometown of Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Richards, who scored 12 goals this season, paraded the Stanley Cup around Prince Edward Island, and his float was an old boat named “CH’TOWN.”

There were so many people waiting to get a glimpse of the Stanley Cup, Richards was escorted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

After the Prince Edward Island parade, Richards took the Stanley Cup to the local hospital.
