Bass big enough to talk about: Fish of the Week

Johnny D’Amico caught a largemouth bass to talk about last week.

Using a ChatterBait while shore fishing on a local pond last week, the junior at Notre Dame College Prep caught a 23-inch, 6.5-pound bass.

“With the warmer weather, the bass fishing seems to be really good,” he emailed.

Talk worth heeding.

FOTW, the celebration of big fish and good stories around Chicago fishing, appears Wednesdays on the Sun-Times outdoors page.
