Two Chicago Police officers have been stripped of their arrest powers after department investigators started looking into whether they were involved in pornography and then discovered they also might have a role in the sex-trafficking of at least one teenage girl, police sources said Thursday.

The department’s Bureau of Internal Affairs notified the FBI after uncovering possible evidence the officers were involved in the sex-trafficking of a 14-year-old girl, one source said.

The veteran officers were off-duty during the suspected misconduct. They were placed on desk duty several weeks ago, sources said. Neither officer has been criminally charged with wrongdoing.
