Woman shot in Austin

A woman was shot early Sunday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 20-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen about 12:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Menard, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition stabilized, Gaines said.
