A man was wounded in a Brainerd neighborhood shooting late Saturday on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was standing on a residential porch in the 9000 block of South Bishop at 11:30 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.
