A 21-year-old man died Saturday morning after his SUV struck a tree in southwest suburban New Lenox.
Tyler H. Tsokatos was driving a 2004 Honda CRV westbound on Francis Road near Woodside Drive about 5:25 a.m. when the SUV left the road and struck a tree in the culvert on the south side of Francis, according to the Will County sheriff’s and coroner’s offices.
The New Lenox fire department extricated Tsokatos from the SUV and took him to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m., authorities said.
An autopsy Saturday found he died of multiple injuries he suffered in the crash, according to the coroner’s office. Toxicology reports are pending.
