Man shot in foot in Englewood

A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking at 2:27 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 62nd Street when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
