The Bears hope Nate Chandler will be a more reliable swing tackle than the waived Tayo Fabuluje. At least he’s versatile.

Chandler played tight end in high school and his first two years at UCLA before moving to defensive line.

As a scout team player, he switched to offensive line, where he started 19 games for the Panthers from 2013-14.

“It definitely helps out,” said Chandler, signed last week. “I feel like just knowing the mentality of a defensive lineman and their techniques or their responsibilities kind of helps me as far as our schemes go.”
