A prisoner who escaped from the Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows on Wednesday afternoon is back in custody.

Jonathan Scott, 24, ran from a courtroom and was able to escape from the building, according to Sophia Ansari, a spokeswoman for the Cook County sheriff’s office. He was located about 5:20 p.m. in Arlington Heights.

Scott was being held on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after he was arrested in Elk Grove Village, Ansari said.

His bail was set at $30,000, according to the sheriff’s office. His next court date is scheduled for Aug 11.
