Two people were shot Thursday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 1:19 p.m., an 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were walking south on South Keeler Avenue near West 21st Place when a green van drove up, stopped and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The van then sped off eastbound on 21st Place.

The two were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. The man suffered three gunshot wounds to the back and was listed in fair condition, police said. The woman was in good condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.
