A 37-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen around 4:45 p.m. Saturday at what the police said was supposed to be a vacant apartment building in Austin

He was inside the building in the 5300 block of West Division Street when two men broke down the door and shot him when he tried to run away, according to the police, who said he was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
