A 37-year-old man was found shot to death Tuesday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers responding about 9:40 p.m. to a call of a person shot in the 3900 block of West 14th Street found Johnell Johnson lying on the ground in an alley, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 2900 block of West Augusta.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
