Woman wounded in West Englewood shooting

A woman was shot in West Englewood Friday night.

The 32-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 6700 block of South Hermitage about 9:55 p.m. when she heard gunfire and felt pain, police said.

She was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with gunshot wounds to her right leg and left hip, police said. Her condition had stabilized.
