Man, 23, fatally shot in Maywood

A 23-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday in west suburban Maywood.

Ryan Jones, of Maywood, was shot about 1 p.m. in the 400 block of South 21st Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he died at 6:45 p.m., the examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Maywood police did not immediately respond to a request for more information on Saturday.
