A man robbed a bank at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in north suburban Northbrook.

About 2 p.m., the thin, 5-foot-7 Hispanic man walked into the Fifth Third Bank branch at 240 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook, showed a handgun and demanded cash, according to the FBI.

He was wearing a black Chicago Bulls hat with a long-sleeve shirt, bandanna, sunglasses and gloves, and he drove off south on Skokie Boulevard, FBI spokesman Garrett Croon said.

The FBI offers cash rewards for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call (312) 421-6700.

It was the 72nd bank robbed in the Chicago area this year, according to the FBI.
