A 37-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

Izat Morrar was on the sidewalk at 3:52 p.m. in the 5300 block of South Calumet when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Morrar was shot multiple times in the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:10 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the Loop.
