A woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds early Saturday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person down at 4:24 a.m. found 44-year-old Latikiya K. Mcneely with a stab wound to the chest and two to the back in the 7000 block of South Emerald, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’a office.

Mcneely was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:39 a.m., authorities said.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
