The Bulls announced the signing of former Villanova guard Ryan Arcidiacono to a two-way contract Tuesday.

Arcidiacono appeared in five games for the Bulls’ Summer League team and averaged 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

He played four seasons at Villanova and was named the NCAA tournament’s most outstanding player in the Wildcats’ 2016 championship run. He was first-team All-Big East and co-player of the year in the conference in 2015. He averaged 11.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in college.

Arcidiacono went undrafted in 2016 and appeared in three preseason games for the Spurs and eight games for the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League.

Teams can have two two-way players on their roster, in addition to their 15-man regular-season squad. A Bulls two-way player will play for the team’s G League affiliate — the Windy City Bulls in Hoffman Estates — but can spend up to 45 days with the Bulls, not including any time before Windy City’s training camp and after its season.

Preseason schedule set

The rebuilding Bulls will open the preseason Oct. 3 in New Orleans in their first of six exhibitions. The preseason home opener will be Oct. 6 against the Bucks.

All preseason games will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet and WLS-AM (890). Tickets for preseason and regular-season games will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Sept. 22 at Bulls.com, NBATickets.com, the United Center and Ticketmaster or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX.

The regular-season schedule will be announced at a later date.

Hold the curry

Dwyane Wade has a recipe for stopping Warriors guard Stephen Curry’s hot shooting, and it starts with his wife, Ayesha Curry.

Wade stayed up late Monday night responding to fans’ tweets.

One fan asked Wade how he can slow down Curry, and Wade’s response was priceless.

“Pray that every grocery store in the world goes out of business and his wife can’t cook him any food,” Wade tweeted. “Whatever she’s cooking, it’s working.”
