A man gunned down early Sunday in the Brighton Park neighborhood has been identified as a Southwest Side resident.

Benjamin Robles, 30, was in a vehicle about 5:10 a.m., stopped at a stop light in the 3800 block of South Archer, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Another vehicle approached and someone inside fired multiple shots, police said.

Robles suffered gunshot wounds to the head, neck and arm; and subsequently crashed his vehicle, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He lived in the Southwest Side Clearing neighborhood.
