A woman was shot Friday afternoon in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking in an alley at 1:13 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Langley when she heard shots and realized she’d been shot multiple times in her side, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
