Man shot to death in Austin

A west suburban man was shot to death Monday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Anthony Oliver, 46, was sitting in a vehicle at 8:46 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Concord when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Oliver suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 p.m., authorities said. He lived in west suburban Aurora.

No one was in custody as Area North detectives are investigate.
