A man was shot Wednesday morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was walking at 7:39 a.m. in the 7200 block of South Peoria when someone fired a gun, striking him in the right calf, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
