A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old was shot in his body multiple times at 3:58 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Homan Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Someone in a light-colored van that pulled up shot him several times as he was walking to his vehicle parked on the street, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition stabilized.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
