A man was shot to death Saturday afternoon while driving in the South Side Longwood Manor neighborhood.

About 3:50 p.m., 51-year-old Elliott Marshall was driving north in the 9500 block of South Vincennes when a vehicle pulled up next to him and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:12 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the Brainerd neighborhood.
