A man was found shot to death early Sunday in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to police.

About 3:30 a.m., officers found 26-year-old Victor Calderon suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and right leg on a sidewalk in the 2200 block of South Hoyne, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Calderon lived in the same neighborhood as the shooting.

Area Central detectives were investigating the homicide.
