Man shot, killed in Gary

Joseph Nieto, 32, of Gary, was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m., authorities said.

A 32-year-old man was shot and killed inside a home Wednesday in Gary, Indiana.

Joseph Nieto, of Gary, was found about 9:45 p.m. in a residence in the 2300 block of Edison Street with a gunshot wound, Gary police and the Lake County coroner’s office said. He lived on the same block.

Nieto was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m., authorities said. His death has been ruled a homicide.
