Man fatally struck by vehicle in Bedford Park

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday in suburban Bedford Park.

Daveon Dawson, 20, was hit by a vehicle about 3 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 7100 block of Sayre Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dawson, a resident of Austin, was pronounced dead minutes later, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.

Bedford Park police did not immediately reply to a request for details.
