Chicago police are warning residents of three pickpocket thefts reported in January and February near the 79th Street Red Line station on the South Side.

In each incident victims were on a CTA bus or train when they realized someone had stolen their belongings, Chicago police said in a community alert. In one, the victim was bumped into and in another the victim’s clothes were cut to remove their belongings.

The thefts happened in the first block of West 79th Street:

About 8:20 a.m. Jan. 29;

About 5 a.m. Feb. 8; and

About 11:45 a.m. Feb. 10
