An 18-year-old woman died after crashing her vehicle into a semitrailer Monday morning in Joliet.

The road was icy when the woman lost control of her SUV about 6 a.m. on Louise Ray Parkway near Valley Avenue, Joliet police said in a statement.

The SUV went into the oncoming lane and hit a semitrailer, police said. The woman died at the scene. The 57-year-old driver of the semi was uninjured.

The Will County coroner’s office hasn’t released details on her death.
