A 23-year-old was fatally shot May 8, 2021 in Lawndale.

A 23-year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday in Lawndale on the West Side.

The man was shot about 10:25 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Harrison Avenue, Chicago police said.

He was shot in the chest and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Terrance Billops, of Lawndale, by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
