The Bears could face their third Lions starting quarterback in as many games Thursday.

Jeff Driskel was listed as limited on the injury report Monday after hurting his hamstring in the Lions’ loss to the Redskins. Coach Matt Patricia told reporters that the hamstring was sore and tight — a problem for a mobile quarterback.

Because neither team held a true practice Monday — they had walkthroughs — they submitted estimated injury reports.

Driskel has started the Lions’ last three games, going back to their first matchup against the Bears on Nov. 10 at Soldier Field, after franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford broke bones in his back. Stafford, who did not participate Monday, isn’t expected to play on Thanksgiving.

If Driskel can’t go, the Lions would start David Blough, a rookie from Purdue who has never taken an NFL snap.

“That can be challenging when you have somebody like that that you don’t know much about,” Bears coach Matt Nagy said. “The one thing with Jeff Driskel, that was such a short notice the last time we played them, so we got to play a full game against him. It’s hard to tell just with walkthroughs, day after, what the situation is. But I know our defensive guys will do everything they can to stay prepped on them on the other quarterback.”

Patricia confirmed that the Lions reached out to veteran quarterback Josh Johnson, whom the Lions cut in September to sign Driskel. ESPN reported that the XFL, which controls Johnson’s rights, rebuffed the Lions’ efforts.

Braunecker, Gabriel concussed

Tight end Ben Braunecker and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel suffered concussions and would not have practiced Monday.

Braunecker, who dropped a likely 29-yard touchdown pass Sunday against the Giants, is the starter at a thin position. If he can’t go, the Bears likely would start rookie Jesper Horsted at “U” tight end. A converted receiver from Princeton, Horsted made his NFL debut against the Giants. Adam Shaheen, the Bears’ 2017 second-round pick who was a healthy scratch before he got hurt, remains out with a foot injury.

Gabriel already has missed two starts with a concussion after getting hurt in Week 3 against the Redskins.

Right tackle Bobby Massie, who suffered what NFL Network called a high ankle sprain, also was listed as a non-participant. Cornelius Lucas figures to start in his place Thursday.

Cornerback Sherrick McManis, who injured his groin covering a punt Sunday, remained out, as did inside linebacker Danny Trevathan, whose left elbow bent the wrong way two weeks ago.

The Lions listed five players as non-participants: defensive end Trey Flowers (concussion), wide receiver Marvin Hall (foot), cornerbacks Jamal Agnew (ankle) and Rashaan Melvin (ribs) and Stafford.
