The 27-year-old was stabbed in the chest and abdomen during a fight with a family member, police said. Another man, 43, is in custody.

A man was stabbed to death during an argument with a family member Friday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

Raul Aguayo, 27, was arguing with a relative at 8:02 p.m. in the 4500 block of South Hermitage Avenue when the fight turned physical, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. During the struggle, he was stabbed in the chest and abdomen.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Aguayo lived in Back of the Yards.

An autopsy Saturday ruled Aguayo’s death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He died of multiple stab wounds.

A 43-year-old man was taken into custody, police said. Area Central detectives are investigating.
